1.6: Belle Gunness aka "The La Porte Ghoul" 

Belle Gunness of La Porte, Indiana is one of America’s first female serial killers. It is estimated that she may have killed 40 people, maybe even more, between 1884-1908. Her crimes occurred in Illinois and also Indiana.
